As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve Daniels Family Dentistry is taking every precaution possible to ensure your safety by following CDC, OSHA, and ILDPH guidelines.
Some of these changes include the installation of a UVGI air purification system in the office as well as HEPA filters in each operatory to ensure adequate air decontamination and turn over. Our doctors, hygienists, and assistants are also wearing gowns, extra masks, and face shields to ensure we are not passing this virus from patient to patient. We are also changing into our scrubs at the office to make sure we do not bring the virus in from anywhere outside the workplace.
As has always been the case rooms are thoroughly sanitized between patients utilizing an EPA approved disinfectant proven effective against a broad spectrum of infective agents (including COVID-19).
Your trip to the dentist will certainly be different but we are doing all we can to ensure it is safe. We are asking patients to wear a mask in and call from their cars, if possible, when they arrive so we can let people in one at a time to limit contact in the lobby. Our waiting room has chairs blocked off to maintain 6 feet of social distance if you do need to wait inside. The front desk has barriers up and our receptionists are wearing masks. The lobby and all non-clinical surfaces are being wiped down multiple times a day to ensure we do not perpetuate the spread of this virus.
While your dental visit will look and feel different than it has before, you can rest assured it will be just as safe as it has always been!
